Direct Contributions

Direct assistance goes a long way at Midtown Assistance Center (MAC) and 100% of your donation will be used for client support. Currently, MAC assistance averages about $64.00 per client. 14 cents will cover a pound of food for MAC's clients, $1.75 provides a MARTA token for a client's transportation to work, and $13.00 purchases a weekly MARTA pass.

These amounts, though small to the average person, are significant to MAC and our clients. They make the difference in an individual's ability to hold a job, stay in an apartment, or keep utilities connected. In other words, these amounts can prevent a person from becoming homeless. And, of course, your contribution is tax-deductible

Since local congregations fund MAC's operational costs, all additional donations go directly to client support.
