Food Pantry Assistance
MAC has a client choice food pantry that provides non-perishable food and fresh meat and produce for households experiencing a temporary shortage. Our neighbors can choose the groceries that best meet their family’s needs.
Job Support
MAC provides required uniform items including clothing, footwear, etc. needed for different industries including hospitality, construction, and service. We also provide MARTA cards to help with transportation to and from work.
Emergency Rent and Utility Assistance
MAC helps low-income, working households that are in a temporary financial crisis. Our assistance works to prevent eviction and disconnection of electricity, gas, and water

Midtown Assistance Center believes in the benefits of providing prevention assistance to the working poor in midtown and downtown Atlanta. In a welcoming environment, MAC encourages self-sufficiency while aiding in the most important basic needs: housing, food, and clothing. MAC's work is driven by principles of integrity, operational excellence, and respect.

The Midtown Assistance Center empowers our neighbors by providing needed resources to weather short-term crises. We provide both financial and non-financial assistance in 10 zip codes including:
Financial Assistance (in 10 zip codes)
- Rent payments (eviction protection)
- Utility bills (disconnection prevention)
Non-Financial Assistance
- Food/groceries (limited to zip codes)
- MARTA cards for employment
- New worker support (required clothes/shoes for jobs)
- State ID vouchers
- Hygiene kits
- Children’s clothing referrals (up to age 11)
